Job Title: Senior Data Architect– DevCoE (ODS Environment) Experience Required : 8+ Years Location : remote We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Data Architect to join the Development Center of Excellence (DevCoE) team supporting an Operational Data Store (ODS) environment for a US-based customer.The role involves defining and governing data architecture, development standards, data quality, security, and performance optimization across the ODS ecosystem, ensuring consistency, scalability, and compliance across enterprise data systems. Key Responsibilities 1. Architecture&Design Governance Define and maintain ODS data architecture standards Review and approve logical and physical data models Ensure standardized schema design across systems Define ETL/ELT integration patterns and frameworks Design data ingestion and processing architecture 2. Development Standards&Best Practices Define ETL/ELT development guidelines and coding standards Establish naming conventions for tables, columns, and pipelines Enforce version control practices (Git, Azure DevOps, etc.) Implement reusable frameworks and templates Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to standards3. Data Quality&Governance Define and implement data quality rules and validations Ensure data consistency across source and ODS systems Establish data lineage, auditing, and reconciliation processes Monitor data accuracy in near real-time environments 4. Security&Access Control Define role-based access control (RBAC) for ODS systems Implement data masking for sensitive information Ensure compliance with data privacy and protection policies Maintain audit logs and security monitoring standards 5. Release&Change Management Review and approve all ODS structural and design changes Manage deployment pipelines and release processes Ensure proper Dev→ QA → Production governance workflow Maintain controlled change management processes 6. Performance Optimization Optimize queries, indexing, and partitioning strategiesMonitor and tune ETL/ELT performance Define data refresh strategies (batch/incremental/real-time) Ensure high-performance operational reporting support 7. Documentation&Knowledge Management Maintain ODS architecture and design documentation Manage data dictionaries and metadata repositories Document data lineage and transformation logic Publish and maintain development guidelines 8. Audit&Compliance Conduct periodic DevCoE governance audits Ensure adherence to enterprise data governance policies Validate documentation completeness and accuracy Support internal and external compliance requirements Required Skills&Experience 8+ years of experience in Data Architecture / Data Engineering roles Strong experience in ODS, Data Warehouse, and ETL/ELT frameworks Expertise in data modeling (logical&physical) Strong knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks Experience with cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP preferred) Hands-on experience with tools like SQL, Spark, Azure Data Factory, etc. Strong understanding of security, compliance, and access control in data systems Experience in performance tuning and large-scale data systemsPreferred Qualifications Experience working with US-based enterprise customer sExposure to DevCoE / Data Governance framework sKnowledge of real-time or near-real-time data processing system sStrong documentation and stakeholder communication skill s
