Senior Manufacturing Chemist - Personal Care (Jaipur)

Designation: Senior Manufacturing Chemist — Personal Care Location: Jaipur Experience required: 10+ years in similar industry We're a fast-growing beauty & personal care brand looking for a Senior Manufacturing Chemist who has been there at every stage — from lab bench to factory floor. If you've formulated, tested, scaled, and commercially launched products across skincare, haircare, and hair removal categories, and know regulatory certifications inside out, we want to talk. What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end product development — ideation, formulation, lab trials, stability testing, and scale-up to commercial manufacturing
- Own the complete product lifecycle across skincare, haircare, and hair removal categories from concept to shelf
- Manage and supervise factory operations — liaise with contract manufacturers, oversee production batches, and ensure quality consistency at scale
- Drive formulation troubleshooting during scale-up and resolve manufacturing issues on the floor
- Own all product certifications — dermatologically tested, ISO, GMP, cruelty-free, organic certifications, and any applicable regulatory filings
- Set up and manage testing protocols — stability, compatibility, efficacy, safety, and challenge testing
- Evaluate and qualify raw material vendors and contract manufacturing partners
- Build and maintain detailed formulation documentation — BMRs, SOPs, COA reviews, and tech packs
- Work closely with the product, marketing, and sourcing teams to translate briefs into viable, manufacturable formulations
- Stay current on ingredient innovations, global beauty trends, and evolving regulatory requirements (BIS, EU, FDA, etc.) What we're looking for
- 10+ years of experience in personal care / cosmetic formulation — skincare, haircare, and hair removal experience is mandatory
- Proven end-to-end track record: from raw material selection and lab development through to commercial-scale manufacturing
- Hands-on factory floor experience — you've supervised production batches, not just passed briefs to manufacturers
- Deep expertise in stability testing, efficacy testing, safety assessments, and HRIPT / dermat testing protocols
- Strong knowledge of certifications — GMP, ISO 22716, BIS, cruelty-free, dermatologically tested, natural/organic claims
- Solid understanding of Indian and international cosmetic regulations (BIS, EU Cosmetics Regulation, US FDA)
- Experience working with CMOs / contract manufacturers and managing the full tech transfer process
- B.Sc / M.Sc in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, or Pharmacy — additional certifications in cosmetic formulation preferred Nice to have
- Experience with clean beauty, natural, or Ayurvedic formulations
- Exposure to D2C beauty brand setting and speed-to-market timelines
- Knowledge of international export compliance for beauty products
