South Indian Cook (Jaoli)

We are looking for a skilled and passionate South Indian Cook to join our hotel kitchen team. The ideal candidate will bring authentic regional expertise, a flair for traditional recipes, and the ability to maintain consistent quality in a high-volume hospitality environment. - Prepare and cook a wide range of authentic South Indian dishes including idli, dosa, sambar, rasam, chutneys, uttapam, vada, and regional curries.
- Set up and maintain the South Indian section of the kitchen.
- Maintain high standards of taste, presentation, and portion control on every plate.
- Monitor inventory levels for South Indian ingredients and communicate requirements to the Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop seasonal menus and special thali offerings.
- Train and guide kitchen helpers in basic South Indian cooking techniques when required.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and sanitized throughout the shift.
- Adhere to hotel kitchen SOPs, portion guides, and recipe standards consistently. Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a South Indian Cook in a hotel, restaurant, or catering establishment.
- Strong knowledge of regional cuisines from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.
- Proficiency in preparing a full South Indian breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu.
- Understanding of traditional cooking methods such as tempering, slow cooking, and stone grinding.
- Knowledge of food hygiene standards and best practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak meal hours.
- Valuable teamwork and communication skills; ability to follow instructions from senior kitchen staff.
- Hotel or hospitality industry experience is a strong advantage. Pay: ₹15,000.00
