Job Description BEST (Back End Sales Team)

BEST (Back End Sales Team) is essentially a centralized Techno-Commercial Resource to help FEST (Front End Sales Team) spend more time in the market, thereby multiplying the business conversion rate.

Main Responsibilities

Preparing costing, quotations, technical submittals, payback analysis, and clarifications. Standardized techno-commercial proposals will be rolled out on an All-India basis.

Preparing presentations and technical documents.

Updating the MEL (Master Enquiry List) on a regular basis.

Submitting updated MEL reports to all concerned FEST members on a monthly basis and to principals every two months in a timely manner.

Other Responsibilities

Providing technical support, product specifications, comparisons, cost analysis, and white papers to HVAC consultants, clients, PMC, and contractors.

Acting as a link between FEST and OM (Order Management) for order follow-up activities.

Transferring jobs to the Order Management team for execution.

Assisting the Order Management team in placing orders with product principals as and when required.

Submitting Proforma Invoices (P.I.) to clients and handling payment follow-ups and manufacturing clearance follow-ups in coordination with the Front End Sales Team.

Coordinating delivery follow-ups with the Order Management team based on project requirements.

Conducting pre-delivery checks of final products at manufacturing/OEM/vendor locations before dispatch, in coordination with OM, to ensure products meet design specifications.

Sending courtesy emails on behalf of the sales team following customer visits.

Supporting the integration of sales operations with the ERP SAP domain over time.

Updating the Sevcon website after collecting inputs from product specialists.

Assisting and supporting the Front End Sales Team (FEST) to meet customer needs promptly and efficiently.

Updating master documents, including white papers and updated project reference lists, on a regular basis.

Providing growth opportunities whereby BEST team members, after gaining adequate insight and experience, may be promoted to FEST roles.
