Assistant Purchasing Manager (Jamnagar)

Location: Sanand Key Responsibilities
- Procure tooling items (dies, molds, change parts), machined components, and raw materials
- Ensure material availability as per BOM and production schedules
- Develop and manage vendors for precision tooling and machining
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, and specifications
- Handle PR, PO, GRN in SAP/ERP (MM module)
- Negotiate pricing, lead time, and contracts for cost control
- Coordinate with Design, Tool Room, Production, and Quality teams
- Ensure compliance with GMP and quality standards
- Monitor inventory and avoid shortages or excess stock
- Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, and technical deviations Qualification
- BE Mechanical (Mandatory) Experience
- 8-10 years in tooling / pharma machinery / precision engineering procurement Key Skills
- Tooling & machining knowledge
- SAP/ERP hands-on
- Drawing & BOM reading
- Vendor management & negotiation
- Cost optimization Preferred
- Experience in pharma tooling / GMP workplace
