Diploma Mechanical Engineer (Jamnagar)

Company Cligent Aerospace Location IIT Gandhinagar, Gujarat About the Role: Cligent Aerospace is looking for a hands-on mechanical engineer (diploma mechanical) to support the development and manufacturing of aircraft and UAV systems. The role involves manufacturing, assembly, CAD design support, prototype development, and ground/flight testing activities. The candidate should be comfortable working in a quick-paced R&D; environment and should have practical problem-solving skills with a strong interest in aerospace and aviation systems. Key Responsibilities: Aircraft/UAV manufacturing, assembly, and integration Fabrication and fitting of mechanical parts and structures CAD designing and drafting for components, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings Support prototype development and rapid design iterations Conduct ground testing and assist in flight testing activities Work on sheet metal, composites, 3D printed parts, and structural assemblies Coordinate with electrical and avionics teams during integration Maintain manufacturing documentation and test reports Identify manufacturing issues and suggest improvements Vendor coordination for fabrication and component sourcing Maintain workshop tools, inventory, and test equipment Required Skills: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA, or similar Basic understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes Hands-on experience with tools, drilling, fitting, assembly, etc. Understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances Interest in Aircraft, UAVs, aerospace, or robotics Basic knowledge of materials like aluminum, composites, foam, and plastics Willingness to travel for testing activities if required Preferred Skills: Experience in Aircraft/UAV projects Knowledge of CNC, laser cutting, or 3D printing Experience with RC aircraft or robotics projects Basic understanding of aerodynamics and structures What We’re Looking For Practical and execution-oriented mindset Ability to work independently in prototype development Strong learning attitude and ownership Passion for building real aerospace products Experience: Freshers with strong practical skills can apply 0–3 years of experience preferred Employment Type Full-time How to Apply Send your resume on Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.in/job/4m5e3v
