Electrical Quality Engineer (Jamnagar)

Job Title: Electrical QA/QC EngineerJob Summary The Electrical QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all electrical works are executed in compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and quality requirements. The role involves inspections, testing, documentation, and coordination with project teams to maintain high-quality electrical installations. Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance & Control
- Develop and implement QA/QC procedures, inspection plans, and method statements for electrical works
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, IS standards)
- Monitor site activities to ensure quality standards are maintained Inspection & Testing
- Conduct inspections of electrical installations such as:
- Cable laying and termination
- Panels, switchgear, and transformers
- Earthing and lightning protection systems
- Witness and review testing including:
- Insulation resistance (IR) tests
- Continuity tests
- Functional and commissioning tests Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain QA/QC documents:
- Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)
- Checklists and reports
- Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
- Ensure all documentation is complete and submitted on time Coordination
- Coordinate with:
- Project engineers
- Contractors and subcontractors
- Consultants and clients
- Support project teams in resolving quality-related issues Compliance & Audits
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Implement corrective and preventive actions Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- 3–8 years of experience in QA/QC for electrical projects (construction, industrial, or infrastructure)
- Knowledge of international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, IS)
- Familiarity with QA/QC tools, testing instruments, and procedures Skills & Competencies
- Robust knowledge of electrical systems and installations
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Ability to read electrical drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in MS Office and QA/QC documentation Preferred Certifications (Optional)
- ISO 9001 Internal Auditor
- Electrical safety certifications
- Relevant QA/QC certifications Work Environment
- Site-based role (construction/industrial projects)
- May require travel and extended working hours depending on project needs Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹22,000.00
