Substation Design Engineer, Jamnagar

Substation Design Engineer (AIS/GIS up to 220kV) | Ahmedabad | Experienced only GreenOps is looking for a highly driven Substation Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Ahmedabad. This role is suited for professionals who want exposure to high-impact renewable energy and utility-scale power infrastructure projects while working across both primary and secondary engineering for substations up to 220kV.Key Responsibilities - Design AIS/GIS substations including: - Equipment layouts - Busbar arrangements - Earthing systems - SLDs and GA drawings - Develop secondary engineering deliverables: - Protection&control schemes - Panel layouts - Wiring diagrams - Relay logic and SCADA interfaces - Coordinate with civil/structural teams for foundations and support structures - Prepare technical specifications, BOQs, and engineering reports - Support engineering reviews, procurement, FAT, site execution, and commissioning activities- Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, IS, CBIP, and utility standards Desired Skills&Experience - 3–5 years of hands-on experience in substation engineering - Experience in AIS/GIS substations up to 220kV - Strong understanding of: - Protection systems - Transformers - CT/PT selection - Earthing&insulation coordination - Fault level calculations - Familiarity with utility and renewable energy projects Software Exposure - AutoCAD - ETAP / DigSILENT - PLS-CADD (preferred) What We’re Looking For We value engineers who: - Take ownership beyond drawings - Can independently drive engineering closure- Have strong documentation and coordination skills - Balance technical depth with practical execution - Thrive in fast-moving consulting environments Location Ahmedabad, Gujarat (Full-time, Office-based) Why GreenOps?
