Site Incharge/Project Engineer (VSS CCTV Installation - …, Telangana

We are looking for a dynamic and technically skilled Site Incharge / Project Engineer to manage end-to-end execution of Video Surveillance System (VSS) and CCTV installation projects in locomotives and passenger coaches. The role involves Installation, Testing & Commissioning (I&C;), cable routing, mechanical fitting, contractor supervision, railway coordination, documentation, and project reporting while ensuring compliance with railway safety standards and timelines. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in CCTV systems, railway project execution, networking basics, and site team management. Educational Qualification:
- Diploma / ITI in Electronics, Electrical, ECE, DECE, or related field
- Engineering Diploma preferred for Site Incharge role Experience
- 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in:
- CCTV / Video Surveillance System installation
- Railway or rolling stock projects (preferred)
- IP-based systems and networking
- Electrical or electronic project execution Key Responsibilities: 1. Project Execution & Site Management
- Lead complete execution of VSS CCTV installation projects in locomotives and passenger coaches
- Supervise installation activities for:
- IP Cameras (Cab View, Side View, Track View)
- NVR Systems
- Microphones and Antenna Units
- Ensure execution as per railway specifications, project standards, and safety norms
- Coordinate installation activities within allotted railway block time 2. Installation & Mechanical Activities
- Execute and supervise mechanical installation works including:
- Clamp fixing
- Welding support
- Panel opening and closing
- Mounting of cameras and NVR units
- Ensure rugged and vibration-resistant installation suitable for railway environments
- Verify proper alignment, mounting quality, and protection covers 3. Cable Laying & Routing
- Handle installation and routing of:
- CAT-6 cables
- Power cables
- Audio / microphone cables
- Ensure proper cable dressing, tagging, ferruling, clamping, and termination
- Maintain cable routing standards for safety and maintenance accessibility 4. Testing & Commissioning (T&C;)
- Perform testing and commissioning of CCTV surveillance systems including:
- Camera feed verification
- NVR recording and playback testing
- Audio and microphone testing
- Network connectivity checks
- Troubleshoot installation and connectivity issues
- Coordinate with Railway officials during inspections and approvals 5. Railway Coordination & Permissions
- Liaise with loco shed authorities, depot officials, and railway representatives
- Obtain daily work permissions and site access approvals
- Ensure adherence to railway safety protocols and compliance requirements
- Support inspection, certification, and handover activities 6. Project Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor daily work progress and installation status
- Maintain:
- Site execution reports
- Measurement books
- Daily progress reports (DPR)
- Work completion records
- Share regular updates with project management teams 7. Billing & Documentation
- Support project billing and certification activities
- Verify installation quantities and executed work
- Prepare:
- Installation reports
- Completion checklists
- Testing reports
- Handover documentation 8. Team & Contractor Management
- Supervise contractor teams, technicians, and helpers at site
- Ensure productivity, quality workmanship, and timely completion
- Monitor safety compliance including PPE usage and tool handling
- Conduct work allocation and on-site coordination 9. Technical Skills & System Knowledge
- Hands-on knowledge of:
- CCTV Cameras
- NVR Systems
- IP-based surveillance systems
- Networking fundamentals (IP configuration, LAN setup)
- Knowledge of Railway systems such as IPIS / Display Boards will be an added advantage
- Ability to troubleshoot field-level electrical and networking issues Required Skills
