Description
Role & responsibilities 1. Sales & Customer Service
- Welcome and greet guests with a pleasant and professional demeanor.
- Understand customer requirements and assist them in locating and selecting appropriate products.
- Provide accurate product information and demonstrate product features to encourage purchases.
- Engage with multiple customers simultaneously and ensure efficient service delivery.
- Achieve sales targets through effective upselling and cross-selling techniques.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all products available in the outlet.
- Guide customers to the cashier for billing and payment completion.
- Contribute actively to increasing outlet sales and revenue generation. 2. Merchandise Management
- Ensure all products are correctly tagged with accurate pricing information.
- Maintain attractive displays across all merchandise categories as per visual merchandising standards.
- Monitor shelf and rack stock levels and replenish merchandise regularly.
- Implement display strategies for slow-moving products to improve sales realization.
- Provide feedback on customer response to newly introduced products to the Operations Manager/HOD.
- Ensure merchandise displays are clean, organized, and appealing to customers. 3. Stock Maintenance & Inventory Control
- Conduct perpetual stock checks and report discrepancies to the Operations Manager.
- Monitor stock levels and assist in forecasting merchandise requirements based on seasonality and guest footfall.
- Ensure adequate stock availability of rapid-moving products.
- Verify received merchandise against indents and ensure products are received in good condition.
- Maintain cleanliness of products and storage areas, ensuring all merchandise is dust-free.
- Assist in stock receiving, storage, and inventory documentation as required. 4. Shrinkage & Loss Prevention
- Handle products carefully during demonstrations, stocking, and customer interactions to minimize damages.
- Report damaged merchandise and incidents immediately to the Operations Manager.
- Rotate displayed merchandise periodically to prevent display-related damage.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory.
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures, especially for products with expiry or best-before dates.
- Remain vigilant to prevent shoplifting and inventory losses.
- Support loss prevention initiatives and maintain inventory accuracy. 5. Customer Relationship Management
- Serve guests courteously and professionally at all times.
- Resolve customer queries effectively and provide accurate information.
- Ensure a positive shopping experience from entry to exit.
- Thank and wish customers at the conclusion of every transaction.
- Collect customer feedback and communicate suggestions or concerns to the Operations Manager. Preferred candidate profile
- 13 years of experience in retail sales, customer service, or outlet operations.
