Network Engineer (SD-WAN, Routing & Wireless) Location: Hyderabad/Bangalore Work mode: Hybrid Years of experience: 5+ years Network Engineer is responsible for architecting, deploying, and maintaining highly scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise network infrastructures across multiple geographically distributed locations. This role leads complex network initiatives including new site deployments, SDWAN migrations, wireless expansions, automation initiatives, and performance optimization. The position also acts as the highest level of technical escalation for network operations, ensuring reliability, compliance, and operational excellence." Job Description Key Responsibilities: 1. Enterprise Network Architecture & Operations: Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure LAN, WAN, WLAN, and campus network architectures for large, distributed enterprise environments. Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot enterprise routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP, ensuring highly available and highperformance connectivity. Lead new site turnups, circuit migrations, bandwidth upgrades, and transitions across Ethernet, MPLS, broadband, and 4G/5G technologies. Manage and optimize Layer2 / Layer3 switching platforms such as Cisco Catalyst, Cisco Nexus, Arista EOS, and Aruba/HPE. Improve network performance using traffic engineering, QoS policies, load balancing, and congestionmitigation strategies. 2. Wireless Networking: Deploy and administer enterprise wireless solutions using Cisco DNA Center, Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC), Cisco Prime, and Aruba/HPE wireless platforms. Perform RF site surveys and spectrum analysis; troubleshoot interference, roaming, connectivity, and capacity issues. Ensure secure, reliable, and highdensity WiFi coverage to support enterprise applications, devices, and user mobility. 3. ISP, Carrier & Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with ISPs and telecom vendors for circuit provisioning, upgrades, incident management, and escalations. Manage hardware procurement, asset lifecycle, RMA processing, and vendor partnerships to maintain infrastructure health. Evaluate new networking products and technologies for performance, scalability, cost efficiency, and alignment with enterprise needs. 4. SDWAN Architecture & Network Automation: Lead SDWAN planning, design, migration, and rollout across branch offices, campuses, and remote locations. Develop and implement automation using Python, Ansible, and templated configurations to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention. Integrate automated workflows into CI/CD pipelines to maintain consistency, compliance, and efficient configuration deployment. 5. Governance, Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all network activities comply with ITIL change management, operational governance, and security standards. Develop and maintain detailed network documentation including architecture diagrams, standards, inventory, and runbooks. Participate in capacity planning, disaster recovery (DR), business continuity (BCP), and risk assessments to support network resilience. Provide Tier3 technical escalation, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and mentor junior network engineers and support staff. Preferred Skills & Certifications: CCNP, CCIE (R&S;/Enterprise), JNCIP/IE, Arista ACE, or Aruba certifications. Experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS, GCP). Knowledge of firewalls, security policies, and NAC solutions (ISE, ClearPass). Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, DNA Assurance, PRTG, Splunk). Soft Skills: Solid analytical and troubleshooting abilities. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to lead projects and collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
