Head of Construction (GTB Nagar)

FyneHand is mandated to hire for the position of Construction Head Our client, a leading player in the renewable energy power generation space, is looking for a Construction Head to be based in Delhi. Role Overview:
- The Construction Head for wind projects leads end-to-end execution of utility-scale wind farms (1000+ MW) from land readiness to commissioning
- This senior role oversees civil/electrical/mechanical construction, EPC contractors, WTG logistics, and site safety (HSE), requiring 22–28 years of experience
- They ensure on-time, within-budget completion through rigorous site management and stakeholder negotiation Key Responsibilities:
- Project Execution & Delivery: Lead greenfield wind projects through commissioning and PCVT testing, ensuring adherence to schedules (PERT/CPM, MS Project) and budgets
- Site Management: Oversee site mobilization, resource planning, and logistics for WTG components (blades, towers, nacelles) across multiple sites
- Contractor & Vendor Management: Manage EPC contractors, Balance of Plant (BOP) vendors, and subcontractors; evaluate performance and resolve contractual disputes
- Technical Oversight & Quality: Ensure compliance with technical specifications for foundation works, road development, crane pad preparation, and grid connectivity
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards to ensure zero major incidents
- Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with regulatory bodies, landowners, and internal teams for timely approvals Key Requirements:
- Education: B.Tech/Bachelor’s in Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. MBA or PMP certification is preferred
- Experience: 22+ years of relevant experience in wind energy project execution , ideally within an IPP or developer environment
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of WTG technology (e.g., Suzlon, Vestas, Siemens Gamesa), BOP, and grid evacuation systems
- Skills: Strong leadership, multi-site management, high-pressure decision-making, and negotiation abilities
- Travel: Ability to travel extensively and spend time at remote project sites KPIs / Success Metrics:
- Project completion within the approved timeline and budget
- Zero major HSE incidents
