Seeking: Datacenter Administrator, Mumbai Suburban

1.The DC Operations team has responsibility for 24X7 operations

2.Data Centre Operations Admin plays role with primary focus on managing day to day operations of ICICI Data Centre

3.This person will work with various stakeholders IMSG, Vendors (Electrical, HVAC etc.) and Technology Infrastructure Group (TIG) teams (within DC/DR) to support Data Centre operations

4.He will report into the DC manager.

1. Experience in dealing with Data Centre and IT operational environment

2. Ability to set processes to manage high transactional oriented environment for seamless operations.

3. Experience of working in a highly robust & dynamic technology environment

4. Comfortable leading in a fast-paced team environment and possess very good communications skills.

5. Vendor management and negotiation skills

6. Rack mounting, Commissioning / Decommission of IT hardware

7. Data center structured cabling and troubleshooting

8. Manage day to day operations using the DCIM tools & Preventive checks, Temp, Cooling, Safety / Security & maintain Hygiene

9. Work with IMSG to manage Electrical / UPS, HVAC and other Data Centre performance parameters are monitored and tracked

10. Plan and co-ordinate Maintenance / other support activities (UPS / electrical etc.)

11. Compile, maintain and share performance reports and metrics with various stakeholders, on regular interval

12. Certifications ITIL, CDCP, CDCS, other IT infra professional certifications

13. Proven understanding of Data Centre Best practices and TIA-942 /Uptime and other standards

14. Awareness and working knowledge of DCIM tools

15. Exposure and understanding of 2 or more of the IT Infra technologies

o LAN / WAN Technologies

o Operating Systems: Basic Knowledge of Solaris, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows

o Databases: Basic Knowledge of DB

o Storage: Basic Knowledge SAN and NAS technologies

o Networking:Understanding of TCP/IP

o Microsoft Technologies: Basic Knowledge of Active Directory and MS Exchange

Tools: MS Visio, MS Project, MS Office

Optional skills: -

Able to communicate well in English (verbal/written).

Graduate (BSC/B.Tech/B.E./BCA) Fulltime Grads only or Postgraduate (MSC/MTech/ M.E./MCA) (B.E with Electrical Background would also work.)

1.Must work well in team environment with high individual productivity with a can-do attitude.

2.Flexibility to work with teams that operate in 24 X 7 shifts

3.Data Centre Passive infrastructure, knowledge on Cooling / Containment, Electrical, Air purification, firefighting etc.

4.Proven understanding and experience of Data Centre Cabling and labeling standards

5.Expertise in Rack Mounting of Servers, Storage, Network equipment and other hardware

6.Manage partners/outsourcing vendors efficiently so that the outsourced resources are of high quality and well utilized.

7.Introduce new processes/systems and/or redefine existing processes to align with changing business/technology needs.

Notice Period Only Immediate to 15 days

Candidate should be okay for Mumbai(work from office). This is a 24*7 Rotational Shift.
