Key Responsibilities 1. Product Quality Governance: Define and maintain product quality standards and specifications for intermediates and finished products. Ensure product consistency across batches, processes and suppliers. Review and approve quality parameters, sensory standards, and product benchmarks. Lead product quality improvement initiatives. 2. Product Technical Expertise and Validations Provide guidance on
- ingredient functionality, formulation impacts on quality, processing effects on product attributes Support troubleshooting product quality issues, deviations. Evaluate impact of: ingredient changes, supplier changes, process modifications, packaging changes. Approve product change control documentation. Participate in product trials and validations before commercialization. 3. Sensory and Product Evaluation Define product sensory standards and evaluation protocols. Support QC sensory panels and establish benchmarks. Maintain complaint logs and ensure learnings are fed back into RM specifications or supplier agreements. 4. Consumer Complaints Lead technical investigation of consumer complaints related to product quality
- taste, texture, or appearance. Identify recurring trends of product quality complaints. Coordinate with production and quality to trace the root cause through batch records, production logs, and retention samples. Evaluate retention samples to verify reported issues. Prepare consumer complaint investigation reports and communicate findings to internal stakeholders. 5. Cross-functional Collaboration & Reporting Collaborate with NPD teams during product development. Manufacturing teams for process optimization. Support manufacturing teams in maintaining consistent product quality across production batches. Provide guidance on critical process parameters (CPPs) that affect product quality such as temperature, time, moisture, or mixing conditions. Qualifications & Experience Education B.Sc. / B.Tech / M.Sc. / M.Tech in Food Technology, Food Science, Dairy Technology, or a related discipline. Experience 2-3 years of progressive experience within the food, nutraceutical, or FMCG industry. Minimum 1–2 years experience in product specific areas. Skills & Competencies Technical Knowledge •In-depth knowledge of FSSAI regulations, GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, CODEX standards, and Schedule M (nutraceuticals). •Familiarity with BIS standards and export compliance requirements where applicable. •Robust understanding of analytical testing methods, lab instruments, and quality testing equipment. •Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally) and LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) is an advantage. •Proficiency in MS Excel (data analysis, trend charts) and PowerPoint (management presentations). Behavioural Competencies •Excellent attention to detail and analytical mindset — able to identify deviations that others may miss. •Strong documentation and report-writing skills; able to communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders. •Effective team leader: able to delegate, coach, and hold team members accountable. •Collaborative and proactive cross-functional partner — comfortable working with R&D;, Production, and Procurement. •High integrity and ownership mindset, aligned with The Whole Truth's clean-label mission.
