Patent Proofreader / Quality Analyst About the Role We are looking for a detail-oriented Patent Proofreader / Quality Analyst to join our patent drafting and prosecution team. The role involves reviewing patent drafts or office action responses before filing/client delivery to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with patent drafting standards. You will work closely with patent drafters to identify and flag errors, inconsistencies, and drafting issues so they can be corrected prior to filing/client delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Review patent drafts for: Grammar, punctuation, spelling, and typographical errors Antecedent basis issues Consistency in terminology and reference numerals Formatting and structural consistency Clarity and readability Claim dependency and support issues Enablement concerns Ensure all sections of the patent application are complete and consistent. Highlight drafting errors, ambiguities, and missing support to the drafting team. Coordinate with patent drafters to resolve comments efficiently. Maintain high quality standards and adherence to review processes. Assist in developing proofreading checklists and quality control practices.

Desired Candidate

Profile
- Should have experience of 1 to 3 years in proofreading Bachelor's degree in any discipline (Science, Law, English, or related fields preferred) Prior experience in patent proofreading, patent drafting support, IP documentation review, legal proofreading, or similar quality-review roles preferred Basic understanding of Intellectual Property and patent documentation Excellent written English and proofreading skills Proficiency in MS Word and document review tools Prior experience or ability to use patent review tools (such as Patent Optimizer) and familiarity with USPTO drafting conventions What We Are Looking For
