Senior AI Security & Governance Engineer Experience: 5–8 Years Duration: 6-12 Months Contract Location: Remote (Initial 1-week onboarding from Trivandrum/Kochi office mandatory) Employment Type: contract Notice Period: Immediate Joiners Preferred About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Security & Governance Engineer to design and implement runtime security and governance controls for enterprise AI systems. This role focuses on embedding responsible AI mechanisms directly into production environments through scalable, code-driven solutions rather than policy documentation alone. The ideal candidate will have solid expertise in AI security, governance automation, runtime risk mitigation, and enterprise compliance practices. You will play a key role in safeguarding AI applications against risks such as hallucinations, prompt injection, misuse, and sensitive data leakage while enabling secure AI innovation at scale. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement AI runtime security controls including:
- Prompt filtering
- Output validation
- Misuse prevention mechanisms
- Runtime guardrails
- Develop automated governance and compliance controls for AI systems
- Build auditability, monitoring, logging, and traceability frameworks for AI workflows
- Create reusable safety and governance patterns across enterprise AI agents and applications
- Identify and mitigate AI-related risks including:
- Hallucinations
- Prompt injection attacks
- Data leakage scenarios
- Unsafe model behaviors
- Implement scalable runtime control systems to improve:
- Security
- Explainability
- Compliance
- Reliability
- Collaborate with engineering, governance, compliance, and security teams to ensure responsible AI deployment
- Proactively identify vulnerabilities, misuse scenarios, and edge cases in AI systems Required Skills & Experience
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in security engineering, governance engineering, or AI security
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and scripting
- Experience working with:
- Security or governance-related systems
- Policy-as-code frameworks
- Rule engines
- Runtime enforcement mechanisms
- Strong understanding of:
- AI hallucinations
- Prompt injection vulnerabilities
- Data leakage risks
- Enterprise AI governance principles
