Job Title: DGM / Sr. Manager– Electrical Maintenance (Thermal Power Plant) Experience : 12+ Years Location : Lakhpat-Kutchh (Gujarat) Job Purpose The role is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation and maintenance of all electrical systems in a thermal power plant. The incumbent will leadelectrical maintenance activities, oversee system reliability, and manage planned and unplanned outages to ensure uninterrupted power generation.Key Responsibilities 1. Electrical Maintenance Management - Lead overall electrical maintenance activities of the thermal power plant. - Ensure smooth operation and upkeep of HT/LT systems, switchyard equipment, transformers, generators, motors, and protection systems. - Diagnose and resolve electrical faults and ensure timely restoration of equipment.2. Preventive&Predictive Maintenance - Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all electrical equipment. - Conduct regular inspections, testing, and condition monitoring of equipment. - Improve equipment reliability through predictive maintenance practices and failure analysis. 3. Shutdown&Overhaul Management - Plan and execute shutdown and overhaul activities in coordination with operations and other departments. - Ensure availability of manpower, spares, and resources during planned outages. - Supervise major overhauling of generators, transformers, switchyard equipment, and associated systems.4. Plant Reliability&Performance - Ensure high reliability and availability of electrical systems to meet generation targets. - Analyze repeated failures and implement corrective and preventive solutions. - Minimize downtime and improve overall plant efficiency. 5. Safety&Compliance - Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards and plant safety procedures. - Ensure compliance with statutory electrical regulations and inspection requirements. - Promote safe working practices among team members and contractors. 6. Planning&Resource Management - Prepare annual maintenance plans, shutdown schedules, and maintenance budgets. - Plan manpower, spares, and maintenance resources effectively. - Optimize maintenance cost and resource utilization. 7. Coordination&Reporting - Coordinate with operations, mechanical, and instrumentation departments for smooth plant functioning. - Liaise with vendors and service providers for maintenance support. - Prepare maintenance reports, performance analysis, and technical documentation. Required Qualifications- B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (full Time) Required Experience - 10–15 years of experience in electrical maintenance of thermal power plants (mandatory) - Strong hands-on experience in: - HT/LT electrical systems - Switchyard operations - Transformers, generators, and large motors- Protection and control systems - Experience in shutdown planning and execution is essential Key Skills - Strong technical expertise in thermal power plant electrical systems - Leadership and team management capabilities - Troubleshooting and failure analysis skills - Shutdown and maintenance planning expertise- Strong focus on safety, reliability, and operational efficiency Additional Requirement - Must have strong experience in thermal power plant electrical maintenance environment (mandatory) Interested candidates are requested to update and share their CV at:
