Job Title: Electrical Engineer – Plant Manager (Solar Power Plant)
Location: Kallakurichi, Tamil Nadu (candidates who are willing to relocate can apply)
Plant Capacity: 5 MW (Tracker System)
Employment Type: Full time
Reporting To: Management
Languages: Tamil, Hindi or English
About the Role:
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer – Site Incharge to manage the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and electrical supervision of a 5 MW solar power plant with a tracker system. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth plant functioning, coordinating with vendors and technicians, and maintaining high standards of safety, performance, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Plant Operations & Maintenance (O&M;):
Oversee daily operation of the 5 MW solar power plant to ensure maximum power generation.
Monitor plant performance through SCADA or monitoring systems and identify generation losses.
Ensure proper functioning of solar panels, inverters, transformers, LT/HT panels, and tracker systems.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance activities.
Electrical & Technical Supervision:
Supervise all electrical works related to HT/LT systems, earthing, and protection systems.
Coordinate fault identification, breakdown maintenance, and corrective actions.
Ensure synchronization and power evacuation as per grid requirements.
Maintain records of electrical parameters, generation data, and fault logs.
Tracker System Management:
Monitor tracker movement and alignment for optimal solar generation.
Coordinate troubleshooting and maintenance of tracker motors, controllers, and sensors.
Liaise with tracker OEM/service providers when required.
Site & Team Management:
Supervise site technicians, electricians, and contract workers.
Coordinate with EPC vendors, O&M; contractors, and equipment suppliers.
Ensure discipline, work allocation, and daily task monitoring at site.
Safety & Compliance:
