**Note: Please apply only if you have relevant experience and willing to relocate** - Job Title: Capital Controller– Projects - Experience: 9–14 Years - Location: Assam (Jagiroad – Near Guwahati) - Qualifications: CPA/Chartered Accountant Role Summary Manage and control capital expenditure (CapEx) for large-scale construction/industrial projects, ensuring cost efficiency, budget adherence, and financial governance.Capital Controllership Key Responsibilities The Capital Controller is responsible for the end-to-end governance, control, and financial integrity of all capital expenditures (CapEx) across TSAT’s semiconductor assembly and test operations. This role ensures disciplined project budgeting, cost control, capitalization accuracy, and transparent reporting across multiple project phases—from greenfield construction through tool installation and ramp-up.The incumbent will act as a business partner to Engineering, Projects, Supply Chain, and Corporate Finance to drive capital efficiency, compliance, and value realization. 1. Capital Planning&Budgeting - Lead the preparation and consolidation of the annual and multi-year capital budgets. - Partner with engineering and project management teams to define investment priorities and cost phasing. - Review and l, ensuring alignment with strategic and financial objectives. - Maintain a robust database of approved projects, funding allocations, and actual expenditures.2. Project Financial Control - Implement and monitor cost control mechanisms for all capital projects, ensuring adherence to approved budgets. - Manage project cost tracking through ERP (SAP) systems using WBS, cost centers, and AUC modules. - Establish capital approval workflows and ensure proper financial governance across functions.- Track physical vs. financial progress, validating milestone completions before payments or capitalization. 3. Capitalization&Accounting - Ensure timely and accurate capitalization of assets, in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards and corporate policies. - Monitor construction-in-progress (CIP/AUC) and reconcile to the general ledger monthly. - Manage componentization, depreciation setup, and transfer to fixed asset register.- Support financial close and audit processes related to capital projects. 4. Reporting&Analytics - Develop dashboards and reports for management visibility on CapEx utilization, forecasts, and project performance. - Provide insights on cost overruns, savings opportunities, and project risks. - Conduct variance analysis between approved budgets, commitments, and actual spend. - Lead post-project financial reviews and ROI/IRR validation.5. Governance&Compliance - Drive adherence to capital authorization policies, thresholds, and documentation standards. - Ensure compliance with internal controls, statutory requirements, and audit recommendations. - Partner with internal audit and project audit teams to ensure transparency and accountability.6. Stakeholder Collaboration - Work closely with Project Directors, Engineering Managers, Supply Chain, and Corporate Finance to ensure financial control at every project stage. - Support leadership reviews with cost forecasts, funding adequacy, and project prioritization. Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering (i.e Industrial Eng, Statistical, Electrical&Electronics) or a related field. - MBA or CPA/Chartered Accountant certification preferred. Desired Experience Level - 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with a strong background in cost accounting and inventory control. - Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or other high-tech, capital-intensive industries strongly preferred.- Adequate understanding of regulatory and finance principles. - Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to influence across functions. - Proficient in systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel; experience with data visualization tools is a plus.
