Structural Engineer (Kasargod) (Kasaragod)

International Institute for People with Disability (IIPD) is seeking an experienced and passionate Structural Engineer to collaborate closely with the architectural and design team in planning and developing the structural, exterior, and interior infrastructure of the campus/project facilities in Kasargod. The role involves structural planning, technical coordination, design review, execution guidance, and ensuring safe, sustainable, and aesthetically integrated construction solutions. Experienced retired professionals with strong field expertise and mentoring ability are also encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with architects and design consultants during conceptual and detailed planning stages
- Develop and review structural designs for institutional, residential, and utility buildings
- Coordinate structural requirements with exterior and interior architectural concepts
- Ensure structural safety, stability, durability, and compliance with standards
- Prepare and review drawings, BOQs, specifications, and technical documentation
- Guide construction methodology and material selection
- Conduct site inspections and provide execution support during construction
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders
- Optimize structural solutions for cost-effectiveness and sustainability
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff where required Educational Qualification Candidates with any of the following qualifications may apply:
- B.Tech / BE in Civil Engineering
- M.Tech / ME in Structural Engineering or related field
- Diploma / Polytechnic in Civil Engineering with robust practical experience Experience Required
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, construction, or infrastructure planning
- Experience in institutional, campus, residential, or commercial projects preferred
- Retired engineers with significant field experience are welcome for volunteer roles.
- Preferring candidates from Northern Kerala Desired Skills
- Strong understanding of RCC and steel structures
- Ability to coordinate with architectural and interior design teams
- Knowledge of structural design standards and construction practices
- Experience with AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, ETABS, Revit, or similar tools preferred
- Site supervision and project coordination capabilities
- Problem-solving mindset and leadership qualities. Pay: ₹35,000.00
