- Kanpur Experience: 2-6 Years in Chemical/ Pharma Unit Qualification: B.E./M.Tech

- Chemistry or Environment Role Overview Astral Adhesives is looking for a Safety Officer to ensure workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental management at plant locations. The role involves conducting audits, implementing safety systems, and driving a strong safety culture across operations. Key Responsibilities Safety Inspections & Audits
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of plant, machinery, and work workplace
- Identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations Safety Training & Awareness
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks (TBT), and training programs
- Educate employees on PPE usage, hazard communication, and safe practices Accident Investigation & Reporting
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Maintain proper incident records and statutory reporting Environmental Compliance
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits
- Monitor waste management, emissions, ETP/STP operations, and sustainability practices Emergency Preparedness
- Develop and implement emergency response plans (fire, chemical spills, etc.)
- Conduct mock drills and ensure readiness of safety equipment
- Maintain and monitor firefighting systems and fire extinguishers EHS Systems & Compliance
- Implement and maintain ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 systems
- Manage work permit (PTW) system
- Maintain EHS documentation, records, and compliance reports
- Participate in and coordinate safety committee activities Key Skills & Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Industrial Safety & EHS practices
- Experience in Work Permit System, Fire Safety, and Emergency Management
- Hands-on exposure to ISO implementation and audits
- Experience in accident investigation and reporting
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills
