Description
We are looking for an experienced QA QMS Engineer to strengthen our Quality Management System and support New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives. The role involves ensuring compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, VDA 6.3, and customer-specific requirements, while driving continuous improvement across processes, suppliers, and customer interactions. The incumbent will be responsible for leading audits, managing APQP/PPAP deliverables, coordinating cross-functional quality initiatives, and supporting supplier quality development. The role also demands robust customer interaction to address quality concerns and ensure seamless integration of Voice of Customer (VOC) into product and process development. Roles and Responsibilities
Role Quality Management System (QMS):
- Develop, implement, and maintain QMS policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, VDA 6.3, and customer-specific requirements.
- Lead internal and external audits (customer, third-party, and regulatory).
- Facilitate Management Review Meetings, Quality KPIs reporting, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Manage document control, non-conformance handling, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Conduct root cause analysis (8D, 5-Whys, Ishikawa) and drive problem-solving.
- Support training and awareness programs on quality systems and standards. New Product Introduction (NPI):
- Lead and coordinate APQP activities across cross-functional teams.
- Develop and manage project timelines for NPI phases (Concept SOP).
- Prepare and submit Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation (Level 1-5).
- Participate in Design/Process FMEAs and ensure robust risk mitigation actions.
- Work closely with R&D;, manufacturing, and suppliers during prototype builds and pilot runs.
- Validate manufacturing processes and perform process capability studies (Cp, Cpk).
- Drive DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacturability/Assembly) feedback during product development. Supplier Quality & Development:
- Support supplier qualification, development, and PPAP approvals.
- Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations.
- Implement supplier improvement plans and manage SCARs (Supplier Corrective Action Reports). Customer Interaction:
- Act as quality representative for customer interactions during product launch and audits.
- Respond to customer complaints, warranty issues, and manage corrective actions.
- Ensure voice of customer (VOC) is integrated into product and process development. Tools & Methods:
- Proficient in use of automotive core tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC.
- Statistical analysis and data interpretation using tools like Minitab or Excel.
