Job Description: You'll design, deploy and maintain our internal Virtual Desktop Infrastructure from the ground up. This covers everything from initial architecture to day-to-day support, making sure our team can securely access a consistent, well-organized desktop environment from anywhere.

Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy the full VDI architecture including broker setup, hypervisor configuration and desktop image management
- Set up secure user authentication and access controls (SSO, MFA, Active Directory/LDAP integration)
- Build and maintain master desktop images, application packaging and deployment pipelines
- Monitor infrastructure health, optimize performance and handle capacity planning as the team scales
- Provide ongoing Tier 2/3 support for VDI-related issues across the organization
- Manage storage, networking and compute resources tied to the virtual desktop setting
- Document systems, runbooks and maintenance procedures

Experience:
- Proven experience designing and managing VDI environments using platforms like Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, VMware Horizon or Microsoft AVD
- Strong understanding of hypervisors (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V or Proxmox)
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, SSO and MFA setup
- Solid networking knowledge: VLANs, firewall rules, VPN, load balancing
- Hands-on experience with desktop image creation, application layering and profile management
- Ability to troubleshoot performance issues at the hypervisor, OS and network level
- Experience with on-prem to hybrid cloud VDI setups
