Milling Machine Operator (Kaniyur)

Key Responsibilities
- Operate milling machines (Vertical/Horizontal / CNC Milling) to machine components
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job cards
- Set up workpieces using fixtures, clamps, and vices
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds
- Perform machining operations like facing, slotting, drilling, contouring, and keyway cutting
- Measure finished parts using instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, dial gauge)
- Ensure parts meet dimensional accuracy and tolerances
- Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning
- Identify defects and take corrective actions
- Follow shop safety procedures and PPE guidelines Skills & Requirements
- Knowledge of conventional or CNC milling operations
- Ability to understand technical drawings and tolerances
- Familiarity with cutting tools and machining parameters
- Basic knowledge of G-code/M-code (for CNC operators)
- Valuable measurement and inspection skills
- Attention to detail and quality focus Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Machinist trade
- Certification in CNC/Milling (preferred)
- 1–5 years of experience in a machine shop / manufacturing industry Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹20,000.00
