The Programme&Learning Associate leads the development and delivery of Young Adult (YA) public programmes at Science Gallery Bengaluru, across exhibition seasons and off-season periods. The role focuses on informal, public-facing learning formats—including workshops, commissions, and participatory programmes—and builds sustained engagement with YA audiences. It works in alignment with the Experimentor and Mediator Programme to translate long-term research and cohort-based learning into accessible public programmes.The role is responsible for mentorship-led formats, participant experience, and public outcomes, while ensuring continuity, quality, and impact across YA engagement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Young Adult Programme Strategy and Pipeline (Primary Responsibility) Build and maintain a pipeline of YA public programmes across exhibition and off-season periodsDevelop formats for workshops, participatory programmes, and light-touch engagements Translate curatorial and research directions into YA programming Ensure continuity of YA engagement across seasons Informal Learning and Mentorship-Led Formats Develop And Deliver Informal Learning ProgrammesIdentify and onboard mentors Manage participant cohorts Structure timelines, check-ins, and outputs Support Mentees Through Programme development Feedback processes Final presentations and outcomes Work With The Learning Team To Translate experimentor and mediator research into public-facing programmesSupport experimentors in developing and presenting outputs Programme Execution Lead YA Programmes As Primary Owner Outreach→ onboarding → scheduling → execution Coordinate With Programmes team (content and structure) Learning team (pedagogy and engagement) Production team (logistics and showcase)Ensure Smooth delivery of programmes Consistent participant experience Commissions (Mentorship-linked) Manage film, curatorial, and graphic narrative commissions Support participants through development, feedback, and final outputs Shape presentation of outputs for public audiences Impact, Documentation&Learning Track Programme Outcomes Participation and engagement Quality of outputs Gather feedback from participants, mentors, and collaborators Build Documentation Programme formats and mentorship frameworks Toolkits and internal knowledge Archive programme outputs and learnings for future usePerson Specification Essential 2–3 years of experience in mentorship and learning environments Ability to translate complex ideas into accessible public language Experience working with and managing young adults Excellent writing and editing skills Strong research and synthesis skillsExperience working across arts, culture, science, or interdisciplinary contexts Ability to work across team and manage multiple projects simultaneously Desirable Experience working with exhibitions or public programmes Familiarity with editorial workflows and publishing processes Background in natural and physical sciencesInterest in science, technology, and culture Ability to speak in Kannada Job Title Programmes and Learning Associate Nature of Employment Full-time, Probation - 6 months Reporting to Learning Manager&Senior Programmes Manager Location Science Gallery Bengaluru, Bellary Road (next to IVRI) Work Hours Wednesday to Sunday; we are a small team of an institution in the establishment phase and therefore looking for people who are able to work flexibly.
