Senior Engineer Devops Database Dba (Bengaluru)

As a key member of Bigquery DBA Admin team, you will take on overall operational responsibility for the systems and processes that are instrumental in generating and delivering products to Albertsons. The DBA will be actively involved in the evaluation, review, and management of database resources and services across the organization. Your role is pivotal in ensuring seamless data operations and includes the following key responsibilities.
- Data Access Management.
- Database reliability & scalability.
- Administer, configure, and optimize.
- Ensure high availability, replication, and failover strategies.
- Implement serverless database architectures for cost-effective, scalable storage. Qualifications: To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications and skills:
- A bachelors degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (foreign degree equivalent may be considered).
- 5+ years of experience working on cloud data warehouse platforms like Big Query.
- Administer and manage Google Cloud Platform services and infrastructure, supporting solutions including Big Query, Bigtable, and Compute Engine.
- Develop automation scripts using Python, Shell Scripting, or Terraform for streamlined database operations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior DBAs and data engineers.
- Hands-on experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration tools.
- Manage shared cloud infrastructure services such as GCP organizations and accounts, VPC, IAM, IPAM, security groups.
- Establish data governance frameworks and best practices to ensure data quality, consistency, and security.
- Demonstrated flexibility in managing changing priorities.
- Strong communication skills and a proven track record of successful cross-functional collaboration. Competencies:

- Experience in data-intensive industries such as retail or e-commerce.
- Snowflake admin experience.
