About the Role Esskay Weighing and Automation is seeking an experienced, results-driven Sales & Marketing Manager to spearhead business development for our industrial weighing and automation solutions. This is a high-impact role offering significant ownership across sales strategy, key account management, and new market development across India‘s core industrial sectors. Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies for weighing systems, batching, hopper, and process automation solutions.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across mining, cement, steel, food processing, textile, automobile, and manufacturing industries.
• Build and maintain robust relationships with EPC contractors, consultants, plant heads, and procurement teams.
• Lead client engagements including technical discussions, product presentations, and site visits.
• Prepare techno-commercial proposals, quotations, and tender submissions with precision and speed.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure technical accuracy and smooth project execution.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and evolving customer needs to refine go-to-market strategies.
• Maintain CRM records and deliver periodic sales performance reports to leadership.
• Represent Esskay at industry exhibitions, trade shows, and sector events.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team — setting clear targets, reviewing performance, and building a high-accountability sales culture.
• Achieve and exceed monthly and annual revenue targets. Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor‘s Degree or Diploma in Engineering
- Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience for Graduate Engineers and 12 years for Diploma Engineers, in industrial sales, automation, or instrumentation.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a B2B technical environment.
• Hands-on familiarity with weighing systems, PLC/SCADA, industrial instrumentation, or process automation is strongly preferred.
• Strong command of MS Office, CRM tools, and professional email communication.
• Willingness to travel extensively across client sites and industrial locations. Skills & Competencies
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client presentation skills.
• Deep understanding of industrial processes with the ability to translate technical needs into commercial proposals.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong customer relationship management instincts
- able to build trust at both technical and commercial levels.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to perform under deadlines and pressure.
• Proven leadership capability to manage, coach, and grow a field sales team. Preferred Industry Background Candidates with prior sales and marketing experience in the following sectors will be given preference: Mining, Cement Industry, Steel Industry, Food Processing, Textile Industry, Automobile Industry, Industrial Machinery, Construction Equipment and Manufacturing.
