Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Experience: 4 – 8 Years Qualification: BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering Job Location: Bangalore Employment Type: Full time Job Overview The role involves the mechanical design of static components and assemblies used in industrial equipment packaging. The candidate will work on engineering calculations, standards compliance, 3D CAD modeling, and manufacturing drawings while collaborating with engineering teams across India and global locations. Key Responsibilities
- Design static components and assemblies for industrial equipment packaging.
- Create and release 3D CAD models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Work on machined components, castings, compressor systems, and fabricated assemblies.
- Manage and maintain standard parts and documentation.
- Publish engineering data into Windchill PLM.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards and manufacturing requirements.
- Collaborate with Bangalore and global engineering teams for project execution and design reviews.
- Support new product development (NPD) and lifecycle engineering (LCE) activities. Required Skills
- Strong engineering and manufacturing knowledge.
- Hands-on experience in CREO and/or Autodesk Inventor.
- Experience with Windchill PLM processes.
- Knowledge of:
- DFM principles
- Castings
- Machining
- Sheet metal fabrication
- Good understanding of:
- GD&T;
- ASME Y14.5 standards
- Engineering drawings
- Knowledge of tolerance stack-up and ISO limits & fits is preferred. Preferred Experience
- Experience in packaged machinery, compressors, blowers, or vacuum technology.
- Exposure to LCE/NPD projects is highly desirable.
