Kitchen helper (Kowdiar)

A restaurant kitchen helper supports chefs and cooks by performing tasks such as basic food preparation (washing, chopping), cleaning and sanitizing kitchen areas and equipment, managing food storage and inventory, and maintaining overall kitchen cleanliness and organization to ensure efficient and secure operations. Key skills include following instructions, time management, organization, and adherence to food safety standards. Responsibilities
- Food Preparation:
- Wash, peel, chop, and otherwise prepare ingredients like fruits, vegetables, and meats.
- Measure and mix ingredients for dishes.
- Package food items for storage or takeout.
- Kitchen Maintenance & Cleaning:
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware.
- Clean and sanitize work surfaces, equipment, and the kitchen floor.
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste.
- Stocking & Organization:
- Receive and store food deliveries.
- Organize food items in storage areas.
- Restock condiment bottles and other kitchen supplies.
- Safety & Sanitation:
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to prevent contamination.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Support to Kitchen Staff:
- Assist chefs and cooks with various tasks as needed.
- Communicate effectively with other kitchen team members. Required Skills & Qualities
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy objects and work long hours.
- Willingness to work during weekends and holidays. Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹13,000.00
