About the Role We are looking for a passionate, creative, and experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen operations of our café. The ideal candidate will be responsible for menu planning, food quality, kitchen management, staff supervision, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily kitchen operations
- Design and update café menus with seasonal and innovative dishes
- Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and taste
- Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff
- Monitor inventory, food costs, and supplier orders
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
- Manage kitchen scheduling and workflow efficiency
- Minimize food wastage and control kitchen expenses
- Collaborate with management on promotions and special menus
- Handle customer feedback related to food quality professionally Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or similar leadership role
- Strong knowledge of café-style cuisine, breakfast, brunch, continental, and bakery items
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations
- Creativity and passion for food innovation
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Culinary degree or professional kitchen training preferred Preferred Skills
- Experience in menu costing and inventory control
- Knowledge of coffee pairings and café operations
