Description The BC/DR Analyst owns operational execution of KLDiscovery's enterprise-wide Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery program. This means building and maintaining plans, running Business Impact Analyses, designing and facilitating exercises, and driving post-incident reviews— across every business unit.This role works directly with IT,
Engineering, and business unit stakeholders to document critical dependencies, set recovery objectives, and keep teams ready to respond when something goes wrong. All policy and material updates require Manager approval before publication. Responsibilities BIA ExecutionLead enterprise-wide BIAs: identify critical operations, map dependencies, and document RTOs and RPOs across all in-scope business units. Engage business unit owners and IT/Engineering stakeholders to gather and validate BIA inputs. Keep BIA records current; update following any material change to critical processes or operations.BCP Development and Maintenance Own, draft, and continuously improve Business Continuity Plans and DR strategies for each KLDiscovery business unit. Work with IT teams to define recovery priorities and requirements for business-critical systems. Maintain an audit-ready BC/DR documentation library with version control and artifact currency.Submit all plan and policy updates to Manager for approval before publication. Monitor the corporate environment for changes that affect BC/DR requirements; update plans accordingly. Testing and Exercise Program Design and coordinate BCP testing scenarios, tabletop exercises, and DR failover tests minimum once annually per type.Facilitate exercises: run scenarios, inject events, observe and record participant responses. Confirm exercise logistics with all participants at least 5 business days in advance. Deliver findings reports with prioritized recommendations to Manager within 5 business days of exercise close. Track all action items to closure in LogicGate (or equivalent GRC tool); escalate overdue items to Manager.Conduct structured risk assessments of critical business processes, systems, and dependencies: document findings, assign risk ratings, and produce prioritized mitigation recommendations. Submit to Manager; reassess after material changes to operations, technology, or the threat environment. Post-Incident ReviewComplete post-incident reviews within 10 business days of incident close. Document procedure gaps, RTO/RPO performance versus targets, and coordination or contact list issues. Update affected BC/DR policies following PIRs; submit to Manager before re-publication Training and Awareness Develop and deliver an enterprise-wide BC/DR training program.Ensure all employees understand their emergency roles and can support recovery of critical operations and customer services. Compliance Monitoring Monitor and document compliance with ISO 22301 and NFPA 1600. Identify and flag compliance gaps to Manager for remediation planning. Qualifications Required3+ years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, or enterprise risk management. Includes weekends and late nights as business needs require Hands-on experience conducting BIAs and drafting or maintaining BCPs. Familiarity with BC/DR frameworks (ISO 22301, NFPA 1600). Experience facilitating tabletop or functional exercises.Strong written communication; able to produce findings reports and BCP documentation. Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and GRC tools (LogicGate or equivalent). Preferred CBCP, MBCI, or equivalent BC/DR certification.Experience managing an end-to-end BC/DR program in a regulated industry. Background in eDiscovery, legal services, or data management.
