Remote: Hybrid Title : QA Automation EngineerLocation : Remote / Hyderabad (Hybrid)Job SummaryWe are seeking a motivated QA Automation Engineer with solid experience in building and maintaining automated test frameworks for web and API testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cypress or Playwright, a good grasp of testing best practices, and working knowledge of CI/CD integration and agile processes. This role is suited for someone who takes ownership of quality, communicates well with development teams, and is keen to grow in a product-focused environment.Key Responsibilities• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Cypress or Playwright.
- Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web, API, and regression testing.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements and contribute to test strategies.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).
- Identify, report, and track defects; work with the team to ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, contributing to test coverage and release readiness.
- Analyse test results and suggest improvements to test coverage and efficiency.
- Support performance and compatibility testing initiatives as required.Required Skills• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks using Cypress or Playwright (mandatory).
- Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript for scripting and test development.
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent).
- Exposure to CI/CD pipeline integration (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI).
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git / GitHub / Bitbucket).
- Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with test management tools such as Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, or Xray.
- Basic exposure to cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Valuable analytical, debugging, and documentation skills.
