Lead Engineer (Kerala)

Lead Engineer – Data & Analytics Engineering ???? India | Supporting Australia Clients ???? Bi3 Technologies India We are looking for a hands-on Lead Engineer to support and drive delivery across multiple data and analytics initiatives. This role combines technical leadership with active involvement, ensuring strong ownership of delivery while staying close to engineering excellence. Role Overview As a Lead Engineer, you will guide multiple data engineering streams, contribute to technical decision-making, and support teams in building reliable and scalable data solutions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing leadership with hands-on execution. Key Responsibilities
- Lead delivery across multiple data engineering and analytics projects
- Review architecture, code quality, and platform decisions
- Support pipeline debugging, optimization, and stabilization
- Improve data reliability, SLAs, and governance practices
- Standardize CI/CD, DevOps, and operational processes
- Handle production issues calmly and systematically
- Mentor team members and elevate engineering maturity

Technology & Skills (Preferred Exposure) We’re looking for strong experience in several of the following:
- Core Skills: SQL (mandatory), Python, data modeling
- ETL & Tools: SSIS (preferred), Airflow / ADF / Prefect
- Cloud Platforms: AWS / Azure / GCP
- Data Platforms: Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse, Databricks
- Streaming: Kafka / Kinesis / PubSub
- Transformation: dbt or similar tools
- DevOps: Git, CI/CD, Docker, Terraform
- Data quality, monitoring & observability practices

Who You Are
- 5+ years in Data / Platform Engineering
- 2+ years leading multi-project delivery
- Robust in SQL, Python, and ETL (SSIS exposure is a plus)
- Familiar with cloud-based data ecosystems
- Calm and solution-oriented in production scenarios
- Structured thinker with strong communication skills
- A hands-on leader who contributes beyond reporting
