- Assist the Executive Housekeeper in managing day-to-day housekeeping operations.
- Ensure all guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and back-of-house areas are maintained to 5-star standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation standards.
- Monitor room status updates and coordinate closely with Front Office for room availability and guest requirements.
- Handle VIP room preparations and special guest requests.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards. Team Management
- Supervise and guide housekeeping supervisors, room attendants, public area attendants, and outsourced staff.
- Prepare duty rosters, allocate work assignments, and monitor productivity.
- Conduct daily briefings and training sessions for housekeeping associates.
- Ensure grooming, discipline, and service standards are maintained.
- Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluation of team members. Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor usage of linen, guest supplies, cleaning chemicals, and housekeeping equipment.
- Assist in inventory management and stock control.
- Minimize breakage, wastage, and pilferage through effective controls.
- Coordinate with laundry and stores for smooth operations. Guest Service
- Handle guest complaints and special requests promptly and professionally.
- Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction and service recovery.
- Maintain effective coordination with Front Office, Engineering, Laundry, and Food & Beverage departments. Administration & Compliance
- Maintain housekeeping reports, checklists, logbooks, and records.
- Ensure adherence to hotel SOPs, health & safety regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Participate in audits and quality assurance programs. Desired Candidate Profile
- Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management or Hospitality Management.
- Minimum 4–6 years of housekeeping experience in a star hotel, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Valuable knowledge of housekeeping chemicals, cleaning procedures, and laundry operations.
- Familiarity with hotel PMS systems and housekeeping software.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and under pressure. Key Competencies
