Core Responsibilities & Duties
- Customer Service & Intake: Greet customers, listen to vehicle issues, and document concerns for technicians.
- Estimation & Documentation: Prepare detailed service orders, cost estimates, and communicate repair needs.
- Workflow Management: Schedule service appointments and coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion.
- Communication: Update customers on vehicle status and get authorization for additional repairs.
- Technical Advice: Advise on necessary repairs, warranty coverage, and maintenance schedules.
- Quality Control: Perform final inspections to ensure repairs meet standards.
- Billing & Delivery: Explain final invoices and handle customer inquiries professionally. Job Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Previous experience as a service advisor, service writer, or in customer service within the automotive industry.
- Technical Knowledge: Robust understanding of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repairs.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to bridge technical staff and clients.
- Computer Proficiency: Experience with DMS (Dealer Management Systems) and scheduling software.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Sales Ability: Aptitude for promoting services and upselling maintenance packages. Common Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (automotive training is a plus).
- Valid drivers license. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores.
- Revenue generated per repair order.
