Role Summary
The Planning and Billing Engineer is responsible for the integrated management of site-level financial documentation, quantity surveying, project scheduling, and digital tracking. This role is critical for ensuring accurate client and contractor payments, rigorous material reconciliation, and disciplined project monitoring aligned with execution timelines. Key Responsibilities
1. Billing and Financial Control
● Client Billing: Prepare Client Bills (RA Bills) based on work completed. Manage the full submission and tracking lifecycle, including client engineer certification, reconciliation, client auditing, HRD submission, Barcode generation, and tracking final payment.
● Contractor Billing: Prepare contractor bills based on work completed.
● Work Order & ERP Management: Execute ERP Booking, manage Work Order (W.O.) creation, and process W.O. amendments in the ERP system. Track all contractor payments.
● Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous hard and soft copy file records for all certified and submitted bills. 2. Project Planning and Site Monitoring
● Scheduling: Create and maintain the overall project schedule using MS Project. Track and report on schedule progress within MS Project.
● Daily Progress Reports (DPR): Lead the preparation of DPRs for day-to-day work done.
● Production Tracking: Monitor and track casting and erection activities daily. Maintain the site production diary and manage manpower registration.
3. Material and Cost Management
● Estimation: Conduct cost estimation for required work. Estimate material requirements based on the Positive for Construction (GFC) drawing.
● Material Tracking & Reconciliation: Keep records of Free Issue Material received details. Maintain and track the consumption of free issue materials based on daily site activities.
4. Digital Systems Management (Protrak)
● Data Upload: Create and upload Element IDs and Drawing IDs in the Protrak system.
● Production Release: Manage drawing linking and releasing for production.
● Tracking: Print QR codes for elements and track element activities in Protrak.
Requirements Candidate Profile Education & Experience:
● B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
● 6–10 years of experience in Billing, Quantity Surveying (QS), or Planning within the construction industry. Experience in Precast construction is a significant advantage.
Technical Skills:
● Proficiency in MS Project.
● Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/custom).
● Proficiency in MS Excel.
● Ability to read and interpret GFC (Good for Construction) drawings. Core Competencies:
