Job Description
Core Engineering & Supervisory Responsibilities
A. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance (PPM) Architecture
● Formulate, schedule, and execute comprehensive daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly preventive maintenance protocols across all active plant assets and machinery.
● Establish predictive conditioning monitoring practices, leveraging specialized field techniques—such as vibration analysis, oil spectrometry, structural thermal imaging, and acoustic emission tracking—to detect early component degradation.
● Author and update centralized digital asset history ledgers, meticulously tracking breakdown histories, component running hours, and mean-time-between-failures (MTBF) to forecast overhauls accurately.
B. Emergency Breakdown & Troubleshooting Command
● Lead the site’s rapid-response maintenance team, executing swift electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic fault isolation during unexpected equipment failures.
● Diagnose and resolve complex automation glitches, including Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) loop errors, industrial network sensor faults, and pneumatic circuit blocks.
● Drive formal Root-Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations following any major or repetitive machine failure, modifying standard operational procedures and executing permanent mechanical/electrical upgrades to guarantee zero recurrence. C. Mechanical, Electrical & Hydraulic System Overhauls
● Plan and execute major internal overhauls on heavy concrete mixing equipment (twin-shaft paddles, mixing arms, wear-resistant liner plates, and hydraulic discharge doors).
● Supervise the meticulous calibration and structural certification of high-pressure hydraulic prestressing jacks, power packs, pressure relief valves, and gantry crane hoist electromagnetic braking assemblies.
● Govern all plant electrical installations, including the programming and diagnostics of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), computerized control desks, star-delta starter relays, and high-accuracy weighing load cells.
D. Critical Spares Store & Inventory Engineering
● Structure and manage the engineering spare parts inventory, defining mathematically sound minimum, maximum, and safety reorder thresholds for critical long-lead items.
● Draft precise technical specifications for engineering procurements and coordinate directly with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and local vendors to secure high-quality spares.
● Standardize inventory part numbers across matching machinery components to limit locked-up capital while guaranteeing a 100% availability rating on critical breakdown parts.
E. Safety Leadership, LOTO Compliance & Statutory Regulations
● Enforce an absolute, zero-compromise Lock-Out, Tag-Out (LOTO) safety protocol across all industrial control panels, batching bins, and gantry rail tracks during internal maintenance tasks.
● Actively lead brief daily maintenance safety tool-box talks, ensuring all technicians are fully briefed on electrical arc-flash mitigation, confined-space entries, and working-at-height safety rules.
● Manage statutory calibration schedules and legal safety inspections for all pressure vessels, curing steam boilers, weight-bridges, and overhead hoisting hooks, ensuring total regulatory compliance under local laws.
Requirements ● Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Graduate Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics/Automation Engineering from a recognized university.
● Experience: 5–10 years of progressive career longevity focused on plant engineering, asset reliability, or industrial field maintenance.
● Candidates must possess substantial, direct experience inside high-output precast yards, automated concrete product factories, or heavy mining/infrastructure mechanical plants.
● Technical & Engineering Mastery:
○ Proficient in reading and mapping complex mechanical engineering blueprints, structural cross-sections, hydraulic/pneumatic circuit maps, and electrical single-line control diagrams (SLDs).
○ Solid working knowledge of industrial automation architectures (SCADA systems, Siemens/Schneider PLC hardware, VFDs, and digital sensor loops). ○ Deep understanding of heavy mechanical systems: industrial planetary gearboxes, high-load bearings, hydraulic actuators, automated lubrication systems, and pneumatic pneumatic distribution.
● Leadership & Response Mindset: Highly structured, calm, and decisive leadership style during fast-paced emergency situations. Must possess excellent tactical delegation skills, high emotional resilience under demanding casting deadlines, and the physical agility required to lead field troubleshooting tasks across a sprawling yard environment.
Advantages What We Offer
● A highly competitive executive salary package with operational reliability performance incentives.
● Site-provided executive bachelor accommodation, dining, and transit amenities in Hedri.
● A high-visibility engineering role with a direct pathway into Plant Engineering Management or full Casting Yard Operations leadership.
Requirements
Candidate Profile Education & Experience: ● B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering. ● 6–10 years of experience in Billing, Quantity Surveying (QS), or Planning within the construction industry. Experience in Precast construction is a significant advantage. Technical Skills: ● Proficiency in MS Project. ● Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/custom). ● Proficiency in MS Excel. ● Ability to read and interpret GFC (Good for Construction) drawings. Core Competencies: ● Precision-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data and calculations. ● Process-driven mindset for structured systems and documentation. ● Assertive communication skills for coordinating with client auditors, site engineers, and Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.in/job/4lwgu1
