We operate from two offices— Delhi and Kolkata — with a growing team of 40+ people. We are looking for a Finance Executive to own the day-to-day accounts function at our Kolkata office.Role Overview This is a hands-on, ownership role. You will manage invoicing, payment collections, bookkeeping, basic GST and TDS compliance, payroll support, and financial reporting— reporting directly to the Director. Freshers with strong accounting basics are welcome to apply. Key ResponsibilitiesInvoicing&Billing→ Raise client invoices on time every month — no delays, no errors → Ensure correct amount, GST rate, SAC code, and billing period on every invoice → Maintain an invoice register and track client acknowledgements → Coordinate with the Account Management team before raising invoicesCollections&Payment Follow-Up→ Own the collections tracker — every outstanding invoice must have a follow-up status → Send professional payment reminders at 7, 14, and 30 days post-invoice → Escalate accounts crossing 45 days to the Director with full payment history → Reconcile received payments against invoices within 24 hours of receiptBookkeeping&Daily Accounts→ Record all transactions in Tally ERP or Zoho Books — entries current within 48 hours → Perform monthly bank reconciliation and resolve all differences within 7 days → Maintain petty cash register and supporting vouchers → Process vendor and freelancer payments with proper approvalsGST&TDS Support→ Assist in preparation and filing of GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B every month → Ensure all invoices carry correct GST rates and SAC codes → Support TDS deduction and basic return filing under applicable sections → Coordinate with the CA for compliance queries Payroll Support→ Prepare monthly payroll input sheet — headcount, salaries, increments, exits → Coordinate with HR to confirm final headcount by the 5th of each month → Support salary disbursement by the 19th — prepare payment file 3 days in advance → Assist in Full&Final Settlement calculations for exiting employees Financial Reporting&Cashflow→ Maintain a basic weekly cashflow tracker — inflows vs outflows → Prepare a monthly expense summary for management review by the 10th → Track and report subscription costs and vendor payments monthly → Alert management immediately if a cash shortfall is projectedWho We Are Looking For Must Have→ B.Com / M.Com / BBA Finance from a recognised institution → 0–2 years experience in accounts or finance — freshers with strong basics welcome → Working knowledge of Tally ERP or Zoho Books → Basic understanding of GST — invoice structure, GSTR-1, GSTR-3B→ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets → Clear written communication for professional payment follow-up emails → High attention to detail — accuracy in numbers is non-negotiable → Must be based in or willing to commute to North Dum Dum, Kolkata Good to Have → Prior internship or work experience in an accounts or CA firm→ Awareness of TDS — applicable sections, deduction, and basic filing → Experience handling petty cash, vendor payments, or bank reconciliation Email your CV to: Subject line: Finance Executive – Kolkata – [Your Name] Shortlisted candidates will be contacted within 5–7 working days.
