Site Engineer / Civil Engineer (Porur, Chennai)

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Site Engineer / Civil Engineer to oversee construction activities, ensure project quality, and coordinate on-site operations. The candidate will be responsible for supervising execution work, managing contractors, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining project timelines and quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day construction activities at the project site.
- Ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, architects, and consultants.
- Monitor project progress and prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
- Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure proper utilization of materials, manpower, and equipment.
- Verify measurements and prepare billing quantities.
- Maintain site records, work schedules, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor quality control procedures and testing activities.
- Assist in planning and execution of civil works including RCC, finishing, structural, and infrastructure works.
- Coordinate with procurement and store teams for material requirements.
- Attend project meetings and provide technical support. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 1–5 years of experience in construction or infrastructure projects.
- Freshers with strong technical knowledge may also apply. Required Skills
- Knowledge of construction methods and civil engineering principles.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOQs.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Project, or Primavera.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Robust problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Knowledge of quality and safety standards.
