Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable ServiceNow solutions, with a robust focus on Service Catalog development. This role is intended to support the delivery of efficient, user-centric service management capabilities while remaining aligned with current recruitment priorities and market expectations. Main Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow Service Catalog items, workflows, and request fulfilment processes.
- Develop custom scripts, UI policies, business rules, and client scripts to support Service Catalog functionality.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather, analyse, and translate requirements into effective catalog items and service offerings.
- Create and maintain complex catalog item forms, record producers, and workflow automations.
- Ensure Service Catalog items are developed using user-centric design principles and meet performance, usability, and accessibility standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the Service Catalog and associated modules.
- Participate in Agile and Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and delivery reviews.
- Ensure all development activities follow ServiceNow best practices, coding standards, and relevant ITIL processes.
- Support testing, user acceptance testing, and deployment of ServiceNow updates related to the Service Catalog.
- Work with the platform team to maintain overall platform health, including upgrades, patching, and ongoing optimisation.
- Contribute to the continuous enhancement of the ServiceNow capability by aligning development practices, technical skills, and solution delivery with business requirements, recruitment priorities, and market expectations. Key Skills
- Strong capability in developing scalable and user-focused service management solutions within the ServiceNow platform.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, user-friendly service management solutions.

- Ability to work effectively in Agile delivery environments while maintaining quality, governance, and continuous improvement. Technical Competencies
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow modules and capabilities, including Service Catalog, Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, Request Management, and Service Portal.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow scripting components such as client scripts, business rules, and script includes.
- Experience in creating and maintaining catalog items, record producers, workflow automations, and service request fulfilment processes.
- Understanding of ServiceNow APIs, integrations, and platform best practices.
- Knowledge of platform governance, testing support, deployment practices, and service management controls within a ServiceNow environment. Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer, with a strong focus on Service Catalog development.
- Proven hands-on experience delivering ServiceNow development across Service Catalog and related platform capabilities.
- Demonstrable understanding of core web technologies and scripting concepts relevant to ServiceNow development.
- Experience in configuring and supporting ServiceNow solutions in line with business and operational requirements.
- Good understanding of IT service management concepts and structured delivery practices. Preferred Qualifications:
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
- Experience in Service Portal customisation and UI development.
- Knowledge of integrating external systems using REST and SOAP APIs.
- Experience of working in Agile and Scrum environments.
- Exposure to other ServiceNow modules, such as HRSD, CSM, or ITOM, would be advantageous.
