Senior Quality Engineer – Data | Distributed Systems Expert …, Hyderabad

We're a global SaaS company trusted by 1,400+ clients across 25+ countries, and we're looking for a Senior Quality Engineer – Data who is passionate about building robust, scalable, and highly reliable software. This is a senior individual contributor role where you'll be a quality champion embedded directly within engineering — influencing how we build, not just what we ship. You won't manage a team, but you'll shape how the entire engineering organisation thinks about quality — from ideation to production. What you'll own Drive end-to-end testing strategy for complex distributed systems — proactively surfacing risks, integration challenges, and performance bottlenecks. Embed quality early — participate in ticket grooming, feature discussions, and design reviews with Product and Engineering teams. Design and execute integration and performance testing strategies for distributed services, including service virtualisation. Champion a shift-left quality culture — mentor developers on TDD, acceptance criteria, and fast feedback loops. Build and maintain data-driven quality metrics and KPIs to track team maturity and demonstrate the measurable impact of quality initiatives. What we're looking for 7+ years of software engineering experience with a deep focus on quality engineering in distributed environments. Solid programming skills and hands-on experience with test automation frameworks — Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or similar. Deep knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases for test data management and quality validation across complex data flows. Systems-thinking mindset — ability to see integration complexities, performance implications, and reliability risks across the product. Excellent technical communication skills with the ability to influence engineering peers and shape technical direction.
