Event Manager (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar)

Job description The Event Manager – Art & Culture Department will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing cultural, artistic, and creative events within the institution. The role involves managing end-to-end event operations, coordinating with artists and vendors, and ensuring engaging cultural experiences for students and audiences. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute cultural events such as festivals, exhibitions, performances, workshops, and competitions
- Develop event concepts aligned with institutional goals and cultural themes
- Coordinate with artists, performers, cultural groups, and external agencies
- Manage event budgets, timelines, and logistics effectively
- Oversee venue setup, stage design, lighting, sound, and décor
- Collaborate with marketing team for event promotions (social media, posters, campaigns)
- Handle vendor management including negotiations and contracts
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and institutional policies
- Supervise event staff, volunteers, and student coordinators
- Evaluate event success and prepare post-event reports Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Event Management, Fine Arts, Cultural Studies, or related field
- 3–6 years of experience in managing cultural/art events
- Experience in academic institutions or cultural organizations preferred
- Solid organizational and project management skills
- Creativity and passion for arts and culture
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Vendor and stakeholder management skills
- Budgeting and negotiation skills
