Position Title : Oracle Golden Gate Consultant / Engineer Position Type : Full-time Duration : Long Term Work Preference : Remote Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Golden Gate Consultant/Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in data replication, database administration, and real-time data integration. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Oracle Golden Gate , robust database administration skills , and experience in implementing high-availability, data migration, and replication solutions across enterprise environments. The candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting Oracle Golden Gate environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data synchronization, performance optimization, and business continuity. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, configure, and support Oracle Golden Gate replication solutions for real-time and batch data synchronization.
- Install, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Oracle Golden Gate environments across development, QA, and production.
- Manage and optimize heterogeneous and homogeneous database replication scenarios.
- Perform database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization activities.
- Work closely with application, infrastructure, and business teams to support data migration, replication, and disaster recovery initiatives .
- Monitor replication lag, process performance, and resolve synchronization issues proactively.
- Perform database upgrades, patches, and Golden Gate version upgrades.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, replication architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Support high availability and business continuity strategies.
- Troubleshoot data consistency issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with DBAs, cloud, and middleware teams for enterprise integration projects.
- Participate in on-call production support and incident resolution as needed. Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of IT experience with strong expertise in Oracle Golden Gate administration and implementation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database Administration (DBA) .
- Experience configuring and supporting Oracle Golden Gate for Oracle databases .
- Robust expertise in:
- Oracle Database (11g/12c/19c or higher)
- SQL, PL/SQL
- Database Performance Tuning
- Backup & Recovery
- Replication & High Availability
- Experience in data migration, CDC (Change Data Capture), and replication architecture .
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for replication failures and latency issues.
- Experience with Linux/Unix shell scripting .
- Strong understanding of database security, data integrity, and governance.
- Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot Extract, Replicat, Pump, and Trail file issues.
- Experience working in enterprise production support environments. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with heterogeneous replication (Oracle to SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, etc.).
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or OCI .
- Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM , and high-availability architecture.
- Knowledge of Kafka, CDC pipelines, or modern data integration tools is a plus.
- Experience with Dev Ops/automation scripting for database deployments.
