Planning & QS Manager (Karkala)

Job Description <\/h2> Position: Planning & QS Manager <\/h3> Location: Project Site / HO (as per project requirement) <\/h3> Role Overview <\/h3> The Planning & QS Manager will be responsible for end -to -end project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and quantity surveying functions for large -scale infrastructure projects. The role ensures effective cost control, progress tracking, billing coordination, and timely project delivery in line with contractual and organizational objectives. <\/p> Key Responsibilities <\/h3> Planning & Project Control<\/b> <\/p>
- Develop, monitor, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project. <\/p> <\/li>
- Prepare baseline programs, catch -up schedules, and recovery plans. <\/p> <\/li>
- Track project progress, identify delays, and recommend corrective actions. <\/p> <\/li>
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management and clients. <\/p> <\/li>
- Coordinate with execution, procurement, and billing teams for plan adherence. <\/p> <\/li> <\/ul> Quantity Surveying & Cost Control<\/b> <\/p>
- Oversee quantity take -offs, BOQs, and reconciliation of quantities. <\/p> <\/li>
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and forecasts to ensure cost optimization. <\/p> <\/li>
- Review subcontractor bills, measurements, and rate analysis. <\/p> <\/li>
- Support preparation and verification of client RA bills and final bills. <\/p> <\/li>
- Handle variation orders, extra items, and claims in coordination with contracts team. <\/p> <\/li> <\/ul> Contract & Coordination<\/b> <\/p>
- Ensure compliance with contract conditions (EPC/HAM/BOT). <\/p> <\/li>
- Assist in claims management, EOT substantiation, and supporting documentation. <\/p> <\/li>
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, and internal stakeholders. <\/p> <\/li>
- Maintain proper documentation and MIS related to planning and QS. <\/p> <\/li> <\/ul> Qualifications & Experience <\/h3>
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred). <\/p> <\/li>
- 10–15+ years of experience in Planning & QS for highways, expressways, or major infrastructure projects. <\/p> <\/li>
- Solid exposure to EPC, HAM, and BOT project models. <\/p> <\/li>
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel, and planning tools. <\/p> <\/li>
- Sound knowledge of billing, cost control, and contract management. <\/p> <\/li> <\/ul> Skills & Competencies <\/h3>
