Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive Store Manager to oversee inventory and warehouse operations, from raw material receipt to finished goods dispatch, ensuring food safety, cost-efficiency, and cross-department coordination. Key Responsibilities: 1. Inventory Management:
- Track and control the movement of raw materials (gherkin harvest, barrels, salt, acetic acid, brine ingredients, etc.) and finished goods.
- Implement inventory control methods to reduce waste, damage, and pilferage.
- Maintain optimal stock levels to ensure uninterrupted production and timely dispatch.
- Ensure batch-wise tracking and traceability of stock. 2. Warehouse & Material Handling:
- Optimize warehouse layout for efficient material flow and space utilization.
- Oversee proper stacking, labeling, and segregation of goods (raw vs. processed).
- Ensure protected handling of food-grade barrels and packaging materials.
- Monitor cold storage usage and temperature logs (if applicable). 3. Dispatch & Logistics:
- Coordinate dispatch plans with the production and sales teams.
- Supervise loading/unloading processes and verify transport documents.
- Handle export documentation (if applicable) including customs and shipping paperwork.
- Ensure compliance with export packaging standards (barrel labeling, net weight, batch code, etc.). 4. Team Leadership & Training:
- Lead a team of warehouse supervisors, forklift operators, and loaders.
- Conduct regular training sessions on warehouse safety, food handling practices, and SOPs.
- Allocate duties, monitor performance, and ensure discipline within the team. 5. Compliance, Audit & Safety:
- Ensure store operations adhere to food safety and quality certifications (FSSAI, HACCP, BRC, ISO).
- Maintain hygiene and pest control logs in storage areas.
- Facilitate internal and external audits by providing necessary documents and data.
- Enforce PPE use, fire safety practices, and emergency response plans. 6. Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Liaise with procurement for timely material ordering and supplier follow-ups.
- Work with the Quality Control department for material inspections and rejections.
- Coordinate with finance for stock valuation, billing, and GRN processing.
- Support the production team in tracking material consumption trends. 7. System & Reporting:
- Maintain records using ERP & SME or store management software (SAP, Tally, Oracle, etc.).
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports on stock status, inward/outward movement, shortages, slow-moving items, etc.
- Monitor stock aging and initiate actions to use or dispose of expired/damaged goods. 8. Cost & Efficiency Management:
- Identify areas to reduce logistics and storage costs.
- Monitor usage of consumables and packaging materials to minimize wastage.
- Analyze storage space utilization and propose improvements. Key Skills & Competencies:
