Engineering Jobs: Senior Civil Project Engineer, Mumbai

Responsible for overseeing the design, planning and execution of civil engineering projects, ensuring they meet quality standards, safety regulations and client expectations.

1. Lead the planning, design and execution of civil engineering projects, including site development, infrastructure and transportation projects.
2. Manage project scope, schedule and budget, ensuring adherence to project objectives and client requirements.
3. Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations and risk assessments to inform project planning and decision-making.
4. Prepare and review engineering designs, drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
5. Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors and regulatory agencies to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
6. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project team members, fostering their professional development.
7. Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or risks and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
8. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure construction activities comply with design specifications, safety standards and environmental regulations.
9. Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve technical challenges, address client concerns and facilitate effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
10. Ensure quality control and quality assurance measures are implemented throughout the project, including materials testing, construction inspections, and documentation.

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
3. Minimum of 15-20 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a focus on project management and design.
4. Strong proficiency in civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Micro Station.
5. Comprehensive understanding of civil engineering principles, codes, regulations and standards.
6. Proven track record of successfully managing civil engineering projects of varying scale and complexity.
7. Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
8. Experience in conducting site investigations, feasibility studies and construction cost estimating.
9. Knowledge of sustainable design practices and green building principles preferred.
10. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously and work efficiently under pressure.
