Room Service Order Taker Job Type: Full-time / Part-time Location: Munnar Kerala Schedule: Flexible – Nights, Weekends & Holidays Required Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Room Service Order Taker to join our hospitality team. This role is responsible for accurately taking guest room service orders, coordinating with the kitchen, and ensuring timely and exceptional in-room dining experiences. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills and thrives in a fast-paced hotel environment. Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming room service calls in a skilled and friendly manner
- Accurately record food and beverage orders in the POS system
- Provide menu recommendations and explain specials to guests
- Confirm order details, pricing, and delivery times
- Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery
- Handle guest requests, dietary restrictions, and special instructions carefully
- Process payments and post charges to guest rooms correctly
- Follow hotel service standards and brand guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area Qualifications
- Previous hospitality, call center, or restaurant experience preferred
- Strong communication and telephone etiquette skills
- Basic computer and POS system knowledge
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent required Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with hotel PMS and POS systems
- Knowledge of food and beverage menus
