Job Description – Golden Munnar Palace by Hawk Hospitality Position: HR Manager / Assistant Manager – Human Resources Department: Human Resources Location: Golden Munnar Palace by Hawk Hospitality, Munnar Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and result-oriented HR professional to join our organization as Human Resources Manager / Assistant Manager – Human Resources. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end HR operations, recruitment, employee engagement, statutory compliance, payroll coordination, and overall workforce management across the organization. Preference will be given to candidates from Hospitality backgrounds with strong leadership and people management skills. Key ResponsibilitiesHR Operations & Administration
- Manage overall HR operations and employee lifecycle management.
- Develop and implement HR policies, SOPs, and procedures.
- Maintain employee records, HRMIS data, and confidential HR documentation.
- Ensure smooth onboarding, orientation, confirmation, and exit formalities.
- Monitor attendance, leave records, and employee documentation. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Handle manpower planning and recruitment activities across departments.
- Coordinate sourcing, screening, interviews, selection, and onboarding.
- Build talent pipelines for critical and operational positions.
- Ensure timely closure of vacancies and maintain recruitment trackers.
- Coordinate with department heads regarding hiring requirements. Team Management
- Lead, guide, and supervise the HR team.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Conduct regular HR team meetings and training sessions.
- Foster a professional and positive work environment. Employee Relations
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and workplace concerns.
- Promote employee engagement, welfare, and retention initiatives.
- Ensure healthy employee relations and effective communication.
- Support department heads in managing workforce-related matters. Performance Management
- Coordinate performance appraisal and review processes.
- Monitor employee productivity and development plans.
- Assist management with KPI tracking and performance improvement initiatives.
- Support employee training and development programs. Statutory Compliance & Payroll Coordination
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and statutory requirements including PF, ESI, Gratuity, Shops & Establishment Act, etc.
- Coordinate payroll inputs, attendance, overtime, leave management, and final settlements.
- Liaise with auditors, consultants, and government authorities when required.
- Ensure proper maintenance of statutory registers and records. Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree / MBA in Human Resources or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3–8 years of HR experience in the Hospitality industry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of labour laws, payroll, and HR operations.
- Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage teams and work under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR software/HRMIS.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Preferred Skills
