Procurement Manager – Food Manufacturing / FMCG

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead sourcing, supplier management, and procurement operations in a food manufacturing/FMCG environment. The role requires strong expertise in vendor management, food safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities Manage procurement of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging Develop and maintain solid supplier relationships Evaluate supplier performance on quality, cost, and delivery Ensure compliance with FSSAI, BRC and food safety standards Review Certificates of Analysis (COA) and supplier documentation Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms Coordinate with production, quality, finance, and logistics teams Maintain procurement records, MIS reports, and system updates Drive cost optimization and sourcing efficiency initiatives

Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement/supply chain (food/FMCG) At least 2 years of team management experience Experience in BRC, ISO 22000, or FSSC 22000 environments preferred

Skills & Competencies Solid knowledge of FSSAI regulations and BRC requirements Understanding of food fraud prevention and supplier compliance Ability to interpret Certificates of Analysis (COA) Proficiency in ERP/MIS procurement systems Robust MS Excel skills for reporting and analysis Excellent negotiation and communication skills High attention to detail and documentation discipline Ability to manage multiple suppliers and priorities
