Quality Assurance Automation Engineer (Mysuru)

You will work in a collaborative Agile environment, contributing across the testing lifecycle with both manual and automation responsibilities. Your Role As a QA Automation Engineer , you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality software delivery through a combination of manual and automated testing practices. You will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to ensure robust, scalable, and reliable applications. In this role, you will:
- Analyse business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to derive test scenarios.
- Design, document, and execute test cases, test plans, and test strategies.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and UAT testing.
- Log, track, and manage defects while working closely with development teams for resolution.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for issues identified in production environments.
- Develop and maintain UI and API automation scripts using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript .
- Build and enhance reusable and scalable automation frameworks.
- Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines and analyze automation failures.
- Configure and manage automated test execution using CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins .
- Generate, analyze, and present detailed test execution and quality reports.
- Perform database testing by validating data using SQL and NoSQL queries.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across applications.
- Conduct performance and scalability testing using JMeter . Your Profile
- 5 years of experience in Manual and Automation Testing.
- Solid expertise in Manual, Web, and API testing.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright and strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript .
- Experience in performance testing using JMeter .
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (Git), and test automation integration.
- Experience in database testing with SQL and NoSQL technologies.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
